Special Events Parking
Foster City, CA
To handle parking for the biggest Foster City Special Events (such as CityFest, the Fourth of July Celebration, and sometimes others) the City usually arranges for a large amount of additional paid parking in the multi-story indoor Parkside Towers Parking Garage and at the Century Plaza Building nearby. Even so parking can get very difficult so arrive to big events early. See directions and a map below.
Note: (1) Paid parking locations may vary depending on the event. (2) There is usually a $10 parking charge to help cover such costs as law enforcement & liability insurance. (3) Free street parking often runs out and event parking at facilities such as the Safeway Shopping Center is not allowed … so paying for nearby parking is usually worth it.
Directions: Here is the easiest way to get to the Special Events parking facilities from both freeways.
- From Highway US-101: Take Hwy 101 to Hwy 92 east towards the San Mateo Bridge & Hayward. Then follow directions from Hwy 92 as described below.
- Note: On 4th of July Shell Blvd closes from 7 am- 11 pm. In the evening Hillsdale Blvd is closed from 5 pm-11 pm between Edgewater Blvd & Foster City Blvd so, for evening fireworks parking, you should definitely drive in via Hwy 92 as described below. See 4th of July parking details.
- From Highway CA-92: Take the Foster City Blvd. exit southeast and turn left onto Metro Center Blvd. and get into the right lane. Turn right onto Foster City Boulevard and head south to East Hillsdale Boulevard. Make a right onto East Hillsdale Boulevard and go straight until you see the sign directing you to the parking garage on your right. See the blue path on the map below.
