popular boba tea shop
This very popular custom bubble tea store chain originated as a 1-man shop in downtown San Mateo in 2011 and started the boba tea rage there. Now they’ve moved to Foster City.
Bubble tea is a freshly prepared Taiwanese iced tea drink with tapioca pearls. Tpumps makes theirs with loose-leaf tea (not tea bags) and freshly cooked (but not cooked too fast) tapioca balls. Also, unlike many other boba shops, you can mix the flavors. Alas, their prices have gone up since the first San Mateo days.
